We're local and proud of it!
We are a community-run Centre, with a local Management Committee who live and work in Mount Isa. We're proud that we can be flexible and responsive to local needs and that we know what is happening in our community. Our volunteer Management Committee includes:

Our Manager, Chris Connors holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) and Master of Social Science (International Development). Her passions include:

About the Centre
The Mount Isa Family Support Service and Neighbourhood Centre Incorporated is a not-for-profit organisation that has been operating for the benefit of our community since 1979. It is funded by the Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services.
The Centre’s vision is ‘to build a vibrant inclusive community, whose members experience enhanced well-being and financial resilience’.
Our mission is 'to enable people within our community to connect with each other, learn how to be physically and mentally well, build self-reliance, and improve their national supports of family, friends, workmates and neighbours'.
Volunteers are welcome....
We are looking for volunteers to help us out with:
Gardening, mowing, raking leaves and trimming shrubs
Cleaning of floors, kitchen, bathrooms, meeting rooms and offices
Picking up, unloading and weighing rescued food
